"Continuous-form wood sculpture has a certain warmth to it. It's an organic form that has to be coaxed into the shape I want. I like that finesse aspect of it."

Starting with a chain saw, Christopher pares the basic chunk of wood into the rough outlines of what it will become. From there he moves to finer cutting instruments and chisels, ending with fine-grit sandpaper.
